My set came with all the necessary pieces, nothing broken. Cedar wood is of good quality and smells nice. Cedar is considered a softwood, but these planks seem sturdy enough. Still, be careful when you drill in screws or bolts

I bought this swing set last month and honestly it was worth the price but just barely. I learned quickly that you don’t tighten the screws until they are tight but just before the washers start digging int it. My kids love to play in evening.
